We last left Sam Wilson in a very actionable position. Just as he was kicking some Serpent ass, a Helicarrier lands in front of him and out walks Steve Rogers. He’s still telling this story, sitting on the plane, talking to the two idiots on either side of him. Sam makes it very clear that he didn’t get arrested. It’s strange thinking that Sam and Steve are at odds with one another, but Sam goes into the details on what exactly happened between them. Apparently, 6 months prior to this S.H.I.E.L.D. experienced a security breach – some classified information was stolen. A secret security program that would essentially change the fabric of reality, by using pieces of the Cosmic Cube. It’s codenamed Kobik and it’s an incredibly fascinating proposal…which is what Maria Hill insists it is, a proposal and nothing more. Naturally when everyone catches wind of this, S.H.I.E.L.D. has the media all over their ass. Also, Maria Hill is such a badass in this story.
